The Paparazzi has left the building

Granddaddy Dees and Mimi (Stephen's dad and his wife, Jane) were here for 2 and 1/2 weeks and just left this past week. They spent most of their time bonding with Brayden and living "la pura vida". We sure do miss having them around! Since Granddaddy Dees is a photographer, we didn't take as many photos and left all the photo taking up to him. He did two photo shoots with Brayden and the pictures turned out incredibly well despite how difficult it is to shoot a 2 month old! We only did one big trip to Manuel Antonio, where he was able to capture photos of monkeys and sloths! He is now obsessed with monkeys! Stephen also took them to the Volcan Poas -- they were actually able to see the volcano crater and the laguna, which are rare sightings during rainy season. We also spent one morning at Doka Coffee Estate, my favorite place to chill out, drinking tasty coffee and taking in the beautiful mountain scenery. Too many great photos to post but was able to share a few...

I haven't had much time to post lately since Brayden decided he is a "big boy" now and doesn't have to take naps. He usually takes a solid 3-4 hour nap mid-day. Man, I miss those naps! Brayden has a new infatuation, or should I say obsession, for the zebra that hangs from the mobile on his bouncy. As if the obsession wasn't enough, I gave the zebra a voice and now he gets upset when the zebra doesn't talk to him, give him kisses, or you take zebra away. He loves to laugh and stare at the zebra -- check out video below. hope it doesn't give you a crick in your neck ;)

Grammy and C-Pop's visit continued...

A Visit From Grammy and C-Pop

We recently went back to Manuel Antonio area during a visit from the grandparents (Adele + Chuck). This was Brayden's first trip to the beach where he had his first "toe dip" in the ocean. Brayden absolutely loved the beach but we're convinced it was Pepper who had the most fun! Thanks to grammy & c-pop for a wonderful time! Here are a few pics from the beach...will post more from their visit on another post.

Welcome to our blog!

Yes, I know, this blog is way overdue! Instead of sending mass emails with photos and updates, I decided it was best to finally start a blog. We hope you have enjoyed our adventures and photos thus far -- we look forward to sharing many more!
